The Red Cross Walk & Run to Save Lives is a 5K walk/run inside the Philadelphia Zoo. As one of the fund-raisers for the Red Cross, the Walk & Run supports programs and services to help you, your family, and your neighbors prevent, prepare for and respond to emergencies.
Participate in honor of the hero who saved your life, a family member’s, or a friend’s - to honor the thousands of heroes who, trained by the Red Cross, are ready to help save your life. It is only with the support of friends like you that we are able to answer the call for help, one family at a time, whenever and wherever disaster strikes. Step up by stepping out at the Red Cross Walk & Run to Save Lives.
Everyone Is Welcome
You are the key to making the Red Cross Walk & Run a success. Individuals can walk or run and raise pledges. Businesses, organizations, and groups can form their own teams of walkers and runners to show their support. Team captains receive a comprehensive kit filled with ideas on how to get the team moving.
Signing Up is Simple
You can register online for the Red Cross Walk & Run to Save Lives. It’s easy and exciting. By signing up online, you will have access to many online fundraising tools, including a personal web page. The online tools will help you raise money, recruit teammates, build morale, and update friends and family on your success.
Anyone Can Participate
The success of the Red Cross Walk & Run depends on each participant. Your business can become a corporate sponsor, linking your name to America’s best-known and most respected charity. Individuals can "walk" virtually and raise pledges, even if they cannot participate on race day.
Saving Lives Is Fun
Along the 5K route, you will find water stations, and stops for those who need a rest. The event takes place rain or shine, so be sure to dress appropriately. Nothing can describe the camaraderie of joining those who share a commitment to our region. It’s all good fun for a worthy cause.
Spend the Day at the Zoo
After the Walk/ Run participants can enjoy the rest of the day at the Zoo! Admission is included in registration.
