The Coastal SC Chapter of the American Red Cross is deploying disaster-trained volunteer Debbie Kostic of Myrtle Beach to assist with relief operations in Colorado where Red Cross is providing shelter, food, relief supplies and comfort to those affected by the flooding. Kostic will supervise client case workers in one of the many areas affected by flooding.

“Debbie will do a great job managing vital disaster relief services in Colorado,” said Nanci Conley, Executive Director of the Coastal Chapter of the American Red Cross. “And she will bring home enhanced skills she can use in local disaster-relief for disasters such as home fires and floods. She will also gain valuable experience that will help us in the event Coastal SC is affected by a large-scale disaster.

Kostic is a Disaster Action Team Coordinator, overseeing twelve teams for the Coastal SC Chapter which has responded to the needs of 40 families/124 individuals affected by disaster in Coastal SC since July1st.
