Red Cross Opens Shelter In Worland for Flood Evacuees

Worland and the Big Horn Basin volunteers have trained for this very moment and are here to help the community.

The American Red Cross has opened a shelter at:

The Worland Community Center - 1200 Culbertson Ave.

The shelter has been opened due to flooding on the Bighorn River between Manderson and Worland.

The shelter will provide food, lodging and information for those evacuated due to the flooding; The evacuation area covers approximately 300 households.

“Worland and the Bighorn Basin volunteers have trained for this very moment and are here to help the community," said Traci Aguilar, Disaster Program Specialist for the Red Cross of Wyoming.
