The Los Angeles Region is the second largest Red Cross region in the nation, with 14 locations serving more than 9 million people in a 19,000 square mile area. Our volunteers and staff are prepared to respond around the clock, 365 days a year to assure that Red Cross services are provided when they are needed.
The following Community Chapters are part of the Los Angeles Region.
Northern Valleys Chapter
The American Red Cross Northern Valleys Chapter is dedicated to provide its communities with the response necessary to meet their most demanding needs. The Community Chapter serves Glendale, La Crescenta, Montrose and Verdugo City counties. We also serve the military installations of Edwards Air Force Base, China Lake Naval Weapon Center, and Air Force Plant 42.
Greater Los Angeles Chapter
Greater Long Beach/Rio Hondo Chapter
The Greater Long Beach/Rio Hondo Chapter of the American Red Cross serves more than 1.7 million people across 34 cities: Artesia, Avalon, Bell, Bell Gardens, Bellflower, Carson, Cerritos, Downey, Hawaiian Gardens, La Habra Heights, La Mirada, Lakewood, Long Beach, Montebello, Norwalk, Paramount, Pico Rivera, San Pedro, Santa Fe Springs, Signal Hill, Whittier, Wilmington, Commerce, Gardena, Hawthorne, Inglewood, Lawndale, Lomita, Palos Verdes Estates, Rancho Palos Verdes, Rolling Hills, Rolling Hills Estates, Torrance, and Vernon.
San Gabriel Pomona Valley Chapter
The San Gabriel Pomona Valley Chapter of the American Red Cross serves 1.8 million people in 44 communities from La Canada Flintridge to Pomona and Duarte to Rowland Heights, covering 320 square miles.
Santa Monica Bay Chapter
The Santa Monica Bay Chapter of the American Red Cross serves over 250,000 people in coastal cities from Malibu to Hermosa Beach.
