The American Red Cross is able to help those affected by disasters small and large because of the generosity of the American people. The Red Cross is not a government agency; it relies on private donations of time, money and blood to do its work.
The American Red Cross responds to disasters in Orange, Riverside and San Bernardino Counties providing shelter, food, comfort and financial assistance. One way to help us help our community 24 hours-a-day, 365 days-a-year is through a financial donation.

The Red Cross is unable to accept small, individual donations or collections of items such as clothing, food or cleaning supplies.
The cost to sort, package and distribute these types of donations to disaster victims is almost always greater than the cost of purchasing the items locally, and it is logistically impossible to distribute a wide variety of individual items in a equitable way. While we cannot accept the donation of an individual item, you can support your community by donating these items to an organization that is equipped to put them to the best possible local use.
