Community First Aid Stations
The Community First Aid group provides first aid to a variety of organizations such as the California Philharmonic, Senior Olympics, the Pasadena Kennel club and many others. Certified first aid volunteers have the opportunity to work a first aid station at the Rose Parade.
We are looking for interested American Red Cross volunteers to be part of the first aid station response for the remainder of the 2014 and throughout the 2015 calendar year. The ideal candidate is a volunteer certified as a paramedic, EMT (Emergency Medical Technician), EMR (Emergency Medical Responder), nurse and or physician.
Volunteers assess, treat and document patients that are seen. Patients needing advanced care are referred to local Fire Department paramedics for treatment and transport when needed.
We invite interested Red Cross youth to participate in community first aid stations. This allows them a wonderful opportunity to get hands-on experience under the supervision of qualified adults.
