Planned Giving

Red Cross programs are made possible through the generosity of friends like you. A planned gift to the Capital Region Chapter of the American Red Cross helps to ensure the future of the services and programs we provide in our community while helping you secure your own financial future.

    Planned gifts include the following:

  • Bequests
  • Charitable Gift Annuities
  • Charitable Lead Trusts
  • Charitable Remainder Trusts
  • Life Insurance
For more information about your gift planning options, please contact Kristen Kirkpatrick at (916) 993-7081.

Bequests

Many of our supporters make charitable gifts by naming the Capital Region Chapter of the American Red Cross as a beneficiary in their wills. Making a provision in your estate plan demonstrates your legacy of caring. To make a bequest to the Red Cross, whether amending your existing will, or in preparing your will for the first time, use the following wording:

"I give, devise and bequeath to the Capital Region Chapter of the American Red Cross or its successor the ______ percent of my estate (or otherwise describe the gift, such as specific property or specify an amount.”

Legacy Society

Our Legacy Society honors those individuals who have the foresight to remember the Capital Region of the American Red Cross in their estate and financial planning by making a provision for either a bequest and/or planned gifts.
