The American Red Cross serves as a lifeline to the United States Armed Forces through its Service to the Armed Forces (SAF) program. SAF is uniquely equipped to provide an exclusive worldwide communication and support network that serves as a link between active and retired military service members and their families, 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.

Your American Red Cross of Northwest Florida help 1,874 military families during fiscal year 2012, and briefed 21,486 military men and women, and their families, on how to get to know the Red Cross and the services we can provide to them if they need us. We also provided comfort kits to 1,875 deploying servicemen and women.

The American Red Cross also provides services to the armed forces community in clinics, medical centers on military installations around the world, and at VA hospitals. Red Cross volunteers work at the Naval Hospital Pensacola, Eglin AFB Hospital and Hurlburt Medical Clinic.
