CPR, Health and Safety

The Acadiana Area Chapter offers classes at the office or elsewhere in the seven-parish area. We are the most trusted provider of health and safety training that meets OSHA guidelines and many other professional and regulatory standards. Each year, an average of more than 9 million people gain the skills they need to prepare for and respond to emergencies through American Red Cross training.

Our offerings:

CPR, AED, First Aid, Wilderness First Aid
CPR, First Aid, AED, Pediatric CPR, CPR/First Aid for Professionals, Pet First Aid, Wilderness First Aid. Students must be able to perform all skills and pass written tests. Find local lifesaving skills courses here.

Lifeguarding
The Lifeguarding program trains lifeguards to act with speed and confidence in emergency situations both in and out of the water. Find local lifeguarding classes here.

Group Training
The American Red Cross offers businesses and organizations a variety of training programs in CPR/AED, first aid, emergency response, and bloodborne pathogens training. The Red Cross translates scientific and medical research into training that can provide everyday people with the skills that may help them save a life. Classes are scheduled seven days a week and may be held at your facility or the nearest Red Cross location. A certified instructor brings training materials to certify those who meet the course objectives. The training is provided at reasonable rates; we welcome the opportunity to discuss your needs.

Train the Trainer Programs
Build your own training team. Join us as an Authorized Provider and we will certify your staff members as an American Red Cross instructor. Instructors may provide first aid, CPR, automated external defibrillator (AED), water safety and lifeguarding training on-site at your business or organization. This cost-effective option allows you to build your own training team and schedule training at your convenience with instructors familiar with your organization, its clients, customers and specific emergency protocols. Because Red Cross training is standardized and recognized by national, state and local authorities, proof and validity of training is easily provided to regulatory agencies.
