The American Red Cross Bay Area Chapter strives to get as many people in our community prepared to take care of their families and neighbors in the case of disaster or other emergency. At the same time, we need to help organizations across the region – including our own – to get ready to respond to a major disaster when it does occur. And, we don’t do this alone.

By sponsoring one of our community programs, you can contribute to a stronger, more resilient community for your employees, your customers, your business partners and your own families. Join us as a sponsor of one of our current initiatives or design your own program that will align with your corporate philanthropic goals and help the Red Cross meet our mission.

Save A Life

Our annual training event provides free CPR training to more than 2,000 people in our community who couldn’t otherwise afford training or for whom language might be a barrier. Last year, premier sponsorship of this program was provided by Kaiser Permanente.

Ready Neighborhoods

The initiative has been made possible by a leadership gift from Pacific Gas & Electric Company, with significant support from Catholic Healthcare West and other chapter donors.

Ready When the Time Comes

If a major disaster, such as an earthquake, hits the Bay Area, the Red Cross estimates that it will need more than 10,000 volunteers to serve the affected people. The Ready When the Time Comes program trains groups of corporate employees as disaster relief workers, enabling them to immediately activate when needed. Oracle is currently acting as lead sponsor for the program, providing funding for training resources and materials. To learn more, visit the Ready When the Time Comes page.
