Voluntary service is a fundamental principle of the American Red Cross, and volunteers are at the heart of our mission. The fact that 92% of our Red Cross workforce is comprised of volunteers means that we can further stretch donated dollars to meet the needs of our community. Volunteers from all walks of life are involved in every aspect of the organization - from the front lines of a disaster to behind-the-scenes office support. Please join us!

Volunteers from Sonoma, Mendocino, Del Norte, Lake, Napa, and Humboldt Counties:

  • Respond to disasters locally and nationally
  • Educate the community on safety and disaster preparedness
  • Teach classes like Disaster Preparedness classes, First Aid and CPR
  • Provide office support
  • Help during Chapter fundraisers and community events
  • and much, much more!
