Red Cross disaster relief focuses on meeting people's immediate emergency needs caused by disaster. When disaster threatens or strikes, the Red Cross provides shelter, food, and health and emotional health service to address basic human needs and assist individuals and families in resuming their normal daily activities independently.
The Red Cross needs volunteers in all levels of our organization, however, disaster volunteers are the heart of Red Cross disaster relief efforts. Disaster volunteers provide help and hope for victims of disasters 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
If you are interested in becoming a volunteer, please check the volunteer section of our website.
The American Red Cross offers 24/7 emergency communications, counseling, financial assistance, and other services to members of the Armed Forces, veterans and military families.
