Group Volunteer Projects for Youth

Are you a high school student interested in helping the American Red Cross? We have several group volunteer projects designed just for students your age. Get together a school group, sports team, church youth group, scout troop or another type of group you’re involved with and do a volunteer project that will advance the Red Cross mission and help your community! Individual opportunities are also available.

Types of projects available:

  • Fundraise – Hold a Vaccinate a Village fundraiser to support the Measles & Rubella Initiative worldwide, hold a fundraiser to collect donations for general Disaster Relief funds, ...
  • Educate – Lead a Prepare Fair at an elementary school to teach kids basic safety lessons, canvas a local neighborhood distributing materials on fire safety and prevention, …
  • Participate at Events – Decorate and sign holiday cards for military members during the Holiday Mail for Heroes campaign, assist at the Run For Blood race in the summer, …
  • Host a Blood Drive – Provide space at your school, recruit and schedule donors, and publicize the blood drive.
  • How to get started:

    Check with your group advisor to see if a Red Cross service project is a good option for your group.

    Schedule a time for a Red Cross representative to meet with your group to learn more about the Red Cross and to discuss available projects.

    With support from a Red Cross staff member, make a plan for executing the service project as a group, including a plan for obtaining any necessary supplies.

    Complete the project!
