The Red Cross relies on our amazing volunteers, fueled by the generosity of donors to fulfill our mission. In fact, more than 90 percent of the Red Cross workforce is composed of volunteers. They coordinate blood drives, respond to house fires in the middle of the night, volunteer at Veteran’s hospitals and make a significant contribution to their communities in keeping with their schedule and skill level. Diverse volunteers of all ages and skill levels are always welcome. Volunteers routinely report that their own lives are changed in the process of helping other people when they need it most.
