Nichole Sirak Irwin, CEO American Red Cross Idaho Region

Nicole Sirak Irwin, Regional CEO

With 19 years of nonprofit fundraising and management experience, Nicole has raised more than $10+ M for organizations such as New England Homes for the Deaf, OXFAM America, Balkan Community Initiatives fund, Family Advocates and the American Red Cross domestic and international programs. Nicole worked to strengthen fundraising programs with Red Cross National Societies in Fiji, St. Lucia and Bulgaria from 2000-2003. Nicole moved to Idaho in 2006 after working in the Balkans for the Red Cross as a grant-making program officer for the German Marshall Fund’s Balkan Trust for Democracy program. As executive director of Family Advocates, the organization found innovative ways to mobilize volunteers for child abuse prevention through the Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) program and a home visiting early education program. Nicole was elected vice president of her Leadership Boise class, was a Tribute to Women and Industry (TWIN) award winner in 2012 and is the volunteer treasurer for the Whitney Foundation. Nicole is a University of Montana graduate an active tennis player and spends time her husband John enjoying all that Boise has to offer.

Diane Wright Montana

Diane P. Wright, Executive Director - Montana

Diane Wright joined American Red Cross in 2010 when she moved to Montana. She brings over 25 years of nonprofit expertise particularly in the areas of fundraising, marketing/brand management, volunteer management, media relations, communications, strategic planning, and operations. She previously worked for United Way in Charlotte, North Carolina and Spokane, Washington, where she served as Senior Vice President of Resource Development and Regional Operations, Vice President of Marketing and Communications, and Volunteer Center Director.

Wright is a University of North Carolina-Charlotte alumnus with a BA in Human Services. She is Rotarian and spends most of her leisure time snow skiing, fly fishing and figuring out other ways to be in the beautiful Montana outdoors.

Anna Fernandez-Gevaert

Anna Fernandez-Gevaert, Regional Communications and Marketing Director

Anna joined the American Red Cross is 2012, after many years in corporate communications and marketing. She joined the Montana chapter as director of communications and currently directs communications and marketing for the Idaho and Montana region. Anna moved to Bozeman in 2009 and loves to spend time outdoors whenever possible. She was educated at Middlebury College and Harvard University.

Abbra Firman

Abbra Firman, Disaster Program Manager (Eastern Montana)

In August of 2013, Abbra became the Disaster Program Manager for Eastern Montana. Abbra had completed a term of service with Red Cross through an AmeriCorps response program in 2001. She worked with the Baton Rouge chapter as a caseworker, community outreach member, Fire Department liaison, and was part of a team updating Shelter Facility Agreements. During her service year she responded to 9/11 twice: Once, as a Mobile Caseworker from late September until the end of October, and secondly, as a Logistics Service Associate in February-March of 2002. Abbra graduated from the University of Gonzaga in 2010 with a Bachelor’s degree in International Relations.

Wade Gayler, Idaho

Wade Gayler, Senior Disaster Program Manager

Wade Gayler, Senior Disaster Program Manager, began working for the American Red Cross in October of 2011. Previously, Wade served as the Southern Baptist Disaster Relief Director for Utah and Idaho for nine years. He is also the outgoing chair of the Idaho Volunteer Organizations Active in Disaster (VOAD) and past chair of the Utah VOAD.

Red Cross Idaho Dave Hall

Dave Hall - Service to Armed Forces Regional Director

Dave joined the Red Cross in February 2015 after living, working and travelling around the world during a 30-year career with the US Army. After retiring in 2008, Dave worked with the Idaho Bureau of Homeland Security as the Plans Section Chief for the Bureau, and the Operations Section Chief in the Idaho Emergency Operations Center. In Dave’s spare time, he serves on the Board of Directors of Genesis World Mission in Boise, and is involved in their community development projects in East Africa. He also enjoys teaching SCUBA diving as a certified instructor for both PADI and NAUI. Dave is a graduate of the United States Military Academy at West Point, and holds Masters Degrees from Central Michigan University and the US Army War College.

Red Cross Montana Ted Koenig

Ted Koenig, Disaster Program Manager (Western Montana)

Ted is the Disaster Program Manager for Western Montana. Prior to joining the Red Cross team, he was a Peace Corps volunteer serving in Madagascar (2011-2014). Ted graduated from Montana State University in 2010, where he was also employed by the University’s Office of Civic Engagement.

Red Cross Idaho Wendy McGrew

Wendy McGrew, Volunteer Specialist

Wendy spent the last 4 years with the Metro Atlanta Chapter of the Red Cross doing everything from DAT, maintaining systems (NSS, CAN and the recent CAS2.0 resource guide), sheltering drills, instructor, RFL, FEMA liaison during hurricane staging, and staffing. Most recently she served as the Activity Lead for Community Partnerships heading up our involvement with VOAD. She derives tremendous satisfaction from deployments and has a dozen national deployments under her belt. Red Cross has become a life mission for Wendy, which follows a long career in travel management and real estate development.

Colleen Tone Montana

Colleen Tone, Regional Disaster Officer

Colleen Tone became an employee of the American Red Cross in 2005. Prior to joining the Red Cross, Colleen partnered with the Red Cross as an Aquatics and CPR/First Aid instructor, working at the Missoula YMCA as a swim coach and head water safety instructor and managing Missoula City Pools. Colleen also worked as a paraeducator in a Missoula public school. Colleen is a University of Montana graduate with a B.S. in Health and Human Performance. Colleen also serves as the president of the Montana Voluntary Organizations Active in Disaster (VOAD).

Jacqueline Baldwin-LeClair - Disaster Program Specialist - Idaho Montana Region

Jacqueline Baldwin-LeClair, Disaster Program Specialist

Jacqueline joined the American Red Cross of Idaho and Montana in August 2015. She served as a Volunteer Disaster Program Specialist for the American Red Cross in the Ohio River Valley area since 2013. Most recently, she served as the District Manager for the Red Cross’ flood relief effort in Jackson County, Ohio, where she led an all-volunteer team of caseworkers, shelter workers and damage assessors to provide assistance to more than 230 people directly affected by the flooding.

Throughout her career, Jacqueline has led and managed non-profit programs, service learning, global engagement initiatives and undergraduate research. She earned her Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Islamic Studies from Stockton University in Galloway, N.J.

Red Cross - Montana/ Idaho - TinaMarie

TinaMarie Visconti, Major Gift Officer

TinaMarie joined the Red Cross in 2015 as a major gift officer for the Idaho/Montana Region. Her responsibilities include strategy, fundraising, portfolio management, and relationship development.

Tina has extensive sales and marketing experience working in healthcare, business services and real estate. She has worked for several fortune 500 companies including IBM, ADP, and Ceridian. Tina grew up in Boston where she graduated with a B.S. in business from Northeastern University and an MA in communications from Emerson College.

Red Cross - Idaho Region Staff - Ben Wight Headshot

Ben Wight, SAF Regional Program Coordinator

Ben joined the Red Cross in October of 2015 as Regional Program Coordinator for our Service to Armed Forces program. He grew up in Acton, Massachusetts, obtained a BA from Norwich University in Vermont and a Master’s of Education from South Dakota State University

Ben was a history teacher in Sioux Falls South Dakota for almost six years before moving to Montana when his wife was named director of the Great Falls College-MSU (Montana State University) library and e-Learning Center. Ben also taught with the Great Falls School District at Loy Elementary as the T.R.O.O.P.S and assessment coordinator. He is a member of the Montana Air National Guard in Great Falls and was part of the Army National Guard for six years in Montana and South Dakota.

Ben has volunteered for Disabled American Veterans, Brookings Backpack Project for School Age Children and CASA-CAN Cascade County, Great Falls Montana. He enjoys all that Big Sky Country has to offer - hiking, biking, camping, running, fishing and coaching soccer, and baseball.
