Overview

With American Red Cross Nurse Assistant Training, you will master the academic and social skills necessary to be a successful Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA). You will boost your self-esteem and gain new-found independence. As a Red Cross nurse assistant, you’ll be an important part of a health care team that works together to provide compassionate care for nursing home residents and patients. It’s a job where you make a difference by contributing to your community.

Exceeding national and state guidelines, the four-week Monday through Friday program prepares students for certification by the North Carolina Board of Nursing and incorporates not only nursing skills but life and career skills as well.

What You Will Learn

The American Red Cross Nurse Assistant Training Program offers comprehensive classroom, lab and hands-on clinical experience to prepare you for the certification test. The expectation of excellence is high in our four-week intensive program. Your instructors are Registered Nurses dedicated to your success. The program features classroom, lab and hands-on clinical experience.



    Requirements

  • A commitment and ability to learn in a fast-paced and friendly academic environment
  • Be at least 18 years old
  • Have a high school diploma or GED, Pass a criminal background check
  • Be a U.S. Citizen or have a valid Green Card
  • Obtain physical, proof of negative Tuberculosis and Hepatitis B vaccination prior to enrollment.
  • See your healthcare provider, community clinic, or urgent care center for more information
  • Have basic computer skills and regular/reliable access to an internet-capable computer/printer
  • Obtain white scrub top, red (Color is Fire Engine red) scrub bottom, and white non-skid (Tennis/athletic) shoes


Course Highlights

  • For one fee, receive all textbooks, class materials, and Red Cross Nursing Pin
  • To finish in weeks, not months, in a class meeting Monday – Friday
  • A variety of clinical experiences
  • An instructor to student ratio of 10:1 for lab and clinical
  • To be well qualified for the North Carolina Board of Nursing CNA exam upon graduation

  • TUITION: $1,250.00
  • Full tuition is due before enrolled in class. Classes are filled on a first come bases.
