About Us
The United States had just entered World War 1, and medical supplies and equipment were desperately needed in Europe. Women volunteers in Cleveland County combined efforts to meet this demand. Their dedicated efforts laid the foundation for more than 80 years of continuous service by the Red Cross to our county
Now we are part of the Carolina Piedmont Region, which comprises 10 chapters that cover 15 counties in North Carolina. The region cooridates the chapters' resources to better provide services to their clients. This provides a network that uses a team effort to tackle challenges - such as disasters - that may be more than just one chapter can handle by itself.
