“We had nothing. Nothing. We were in our pajamas. We could not thank the Red Cross enough.” – Pocono Resident

Residents in the Pocono area count on the Red Cross to help them in their darkest hour. Whether it’s a single-family house fire, a multi-unit apartment fire or a flood, we are there to provide shelter, food, and emotional health to meet basic human needs and help Pocono residents resume their normal daily activities independently.

Last fiscal year we helped 138 residents who were affected by 30 disasters in the Pocono area.

We also feed emergency workers like fire fighters and police during prolonged emergencies.

It is through the support of donors that our Chapter is able to fulfill its humanitarian mission. We are deeply grateful for the generosity of individuals, corporations and foundations who invest in the American Red Cross of the Poconos.
