Safe in the Sound

  • image

Safe in the Sound will help individuals and communities throughout the Puget Sound region and coastal communities build their capacity to withstand, quickly adapt to and successfully recover from disasters – large and small. Preparedness is a critical factor in a community’s ability to respond during an emergency and to recover afterward. Whether it be an earthquake or an everyday disaster such as a home fire or a medical emergency, Puget Sound area residents must be prepared for when, not if, the next crisis strikes.

We know from experience that lives are saved and devastation is reduced with advanced planning. Preparedness planning affects our ability to survive, recover and thrive in the aftermath of a disaster. Follow Red Cross preparedness tips to better prepare yourself, your family and your community.
