Mission Statement

The American Red Cross prevents and alleviates human suffering in the face of emergencies by mobilizing the power of volunteers and the generosity of donors

The American Red Cross Hispanic Outreach Program is delighted to provide our services to the Hispanic Community in the Greenville County.

    Ways to Volunteer:

  • Prepare your Community; Educate the Hispanic Community about the types of disasters we could see right here in the Upstate and steps that they can take to be better prepared.
  • Promote the Family Preparedness Outreach Project; The Family Preparedness Outreach (FPO) Project is designed to educate and prepare Hispanic Families (Adults and Children) about natural and man- made disasters that could happen in the Upstate of SC.
  • Participate in the Hispanic Community Outreach; Hispanic Outreach Program Volunteers attend community events and health fairs, offering a range of Spanish Language training, programs and educational materials designed to enrich the community.
  • Support other Red Cross Departments; The Hispanic Outreach Program serves as a volunteer liaison between the Red Cross and the Hispanic Community providing support including bilingual interpretation in Disaster Services, teaching Health and Safety classes, and supporting local Fundraising Events.
