Rally Your Employees around a Common Cause

Your employees, like many Americans, turn to the Red Cross when they want to help those in need. They give blood. They make financial donations to help their community thrive. They take First Aid/CPR classes to be ready when an emergency strikes. You can support their enthusiasm for our mission. Through workplace giving and engagement, it’s easy to help your employees come together around a cause. They can help out following a disaster, during your annual campaign or during other meaningful times of year.

With turnkey workplace giving campaign tools and resources - including secure, co-branded online donation sites – the Red Cross makes it easy for companies to generate enthusiasm and create stronger teams united by a shared commitment. Below are just a few ways your workplace can align with the Red Cross.

During Your Annual Campaign

Drive annual campaign participation rates by featuring the Red Cross, a trusted and respected brand with high regard, broad reach and a breadth of employee engagement opportunities. If you do not currently give employees the opportunity to support the Red Cross as part of your fall campaign, please contact us using the form below and we can show you how easy it is.

If you are a Federal employee, you can give during the Combined Federal Campaign (CFC) by writing American Red Cross on your pledge card and using our CFC number 10266.

During Disaster Response

When disaster strikes, your employees will look to you to respond, especially if the disaster has affected a community where they work and live. The Red Cross can provide you with tools to quickly and efficiently raise funds following a disaster, from employees, or visitors to your website. To show your support you can offer to match their generosity, which will galvanize donors and provide critical support in times of greatest need and beyond.

During your Special Event Campaign

Throughout the year, you can launch specialized campaigns to highlight different Red Cross services to fit your company’s culture and channel employee enthusiasm during important times of year. Employees can support Service to the Armed Forces from Memorial Day through the Fourth of July, a Blood campaign during summer blood shortage months or Preparedness and Health campaigns in the fall.

Employee Matching Gifts Program

Knowing that donations will be matched dollar-for-dollar is a powerful incentive for any donor. It can boost giving levels, and it demonstrates that your company is ready to invest in causes that matter to employees. Consider offering a corporate match of employee gifts to the Red Cross made during an annual campaign to increase participation, or following a major disaster to show that you stand by your employees when it matters most.

Employee Engagement

Few things deepen the sense that we’ve helped out more than volunteerism. With the Red Cross you have a range of options that require just a few hours or even a few minutes of your employees’ time:
  • Host a blood drive at your workplace
  • Conduct First Aid/CPR, preparedness training or other safety courses
  • During the holidays, invite employees to sign or even make greeting cards that the Red Cross will deliver to military members, veterans and their families
There are many other opportunities to become involved in our work. For more information, please use the form below to contact us.
