Champions of Change

More than 100 American Red Cross staff and volunteers were honored by the White House for their efforts to bring change to their communities. The honors were given as part of the Obama Administrations "Champions of Change" , an ongoing effort that spotlights grass-roots efforts to make communities more resilient. The Red Cross champions were honored for efforts ranging from preparedness, increasing blood donations, creating apps that have saved lives and spearheading disaster relief efforts for Red Cross around the world.
