Dear Friends of the American Red Cross,

People in need turn to the American Red Cross when help can’t wait. But growing public health concerns caused by the coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak could pose significant challenges as we work to continue delivering our vital mission. We are closely monitoring the outbreak of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) and are following guidelines from the Centers for Disease Control (CDC), World Health Organization (WHO), and local health departments.

We are currently working with public health officials in Alabama and the City of Birmingham to put plans in place to keep local communities and our workforce safe.  As of now, our Touch of Red: American Red Cross Gala originally scheduled for Friday, April 3rd has been tentatively rescheduled for Friday, June 12th, so make sure that you mark your calendar with this new date!

We will continue to update our social media, website, and other outlets if that changes or new guidance is released. All our volunteers and staff are still working to make this a phenomenal experience for everyone in attendance that night!  The wellbeing of our guests and associates is of paramount importance.

Thank you for your ongoing support of our mission,
