Shelter of Hope Bakersfield

A Campaign to Benefit Disaster Preparedness & Response

Help Us Provide Hope by Raising $300,000

 

When disaster strikes, relief cannot wait. 
Families need shelter, food, water, first aid and emotional support. They need the American Red Cross.

On average, every 24 hours the Red Cross responds to a disaster right here in Bakersfield, from devastating home fires to wildfires to floods and more. You can help us provide a Shelter of Hope to our neighbors in need.

Join us on Saturday, October 5, 2019, as the Shelter of Hope  travels to Bakersfield, raising funds and awareness to support local disaster preparedness and response. Visit a simulated shelter. Learn about the programs and services we provide. Meet our volunteers and staff.

SOH Open to Public
Highlights include a simulated disaster shelter and a disaster

Meet our volunteers and staff, and learn about our Red Cross services and programs.  
We are excited to have a Next Generation Emergency Response Vehicle (ERV) on hand, borrowed from our Red Cross friends from Southern California.

9-10 a.m.

First Responder Brunch

Rides begin at 6:30 a.m., 8:00 a.m. and 9:00 a.m.

Join the Red Cross for an amazing cycling event that takes riders through beautiful Ventura County with a 30 mile, 65 mile or 100 mile scenic cycling ride with periodic rest stops. Benefiting Service to the Armed Forces.
