The American Red Cross wants to improve the odds and save lives. That's why we launched the Sound the Alarm program. Together with Norwalk residents, fire departments, community partners, and other Red Cross volunteers, join us to:
Canvas at risk neighborhoods
Install free smoke alarms
Replace batteries in existing smoke alarms
Provide fire prevention and safety education
No prior volunteer training is required. Join to help save lives in your community!

Join the AmeriCorps to take part in an activity that not only enables you to meet new, like-minded people, but it allows you to uphold the values of the Red Cross while helping you serve the community.
Challenge yourself to 50 miles this fall to raise funds for people affected by disasters like storms, floods, and countless other crises. Throughout the Challenge, participants will receive messages of encouragement and fundraising tips via our supportive Facebook group.
Registration opens September 10th. Challenge starts October 1st and concludes November 5th.
