The American Red Cross is preparing for potentially substantial flooding, following an emergency declaration from Fargo Mayor Tim Mahoney. The Red Cross is preparing to support communities with sheltering, serving food and beverages, and distribution of flood relief and clean-up supplies.
Anyone interested in learning more about becoming a trained Red Cross volunteer may attend public information sessions at the Red Cross office located at 2602 12th Street North, Fargo, ND 58102. The sessions will be held on Thursday, March 21 from 6:30-7:30 p.m. and on Friday, March 22 from 10:00-11:00 a.m.
Those in attendance will learn about how the Red Cross helps during a flood emergency, how to sign up to become a volunteer, training expectations and required coursework. Use your time and talents to help your neighbors in need this spring!
