Amanda Pasko joined the American Red Cross of Southern Maryland in the summer of 2017 and hit the ground running as a Disaster Action Team (DAT) volunteer, responding to home fires and other disasters. Just weeks after she started, she deployed to Texas when Hurricane Harvey made landfall. After returning, she continued with DAT, but having a heart of passion, immediately wanted to get more involved. She added the role of “Recognition Lead” and started working on the annual Volunteer Recognition Event held this past April. She worked extremely hard to make sure the volunteers of Southern Maryland are recognized for the work they do.
She then joined the Volunteer Satisfaction Workgroup, taking the lead for this all-volunteer group assembled to help improve the experiences of volunteers throughout the region. She works tirelessly to support the Red Cross mission and always has a big smile to share with everyone she comes in contact with. Her love of the Red Cross and wanting all volunteers to have a positive experience shines through. The Region is very fortunate to have such a fantastic volunteer dedicated to the organization. We truly appreciate all that she does, from responding to DAT calls, to helping improve volunteer experience, saying thank you to our volunteers, and planning memorable events. Thank you Amanda, for all you do!
