On behalf of the Red Cross team, we extend our deepest sympathy for the loss of your loved one to the coronavirus. Grieving is always difficult, and we recognize the COVID-19 pandemic creates additional challenges and needs. This Virtual Family Assistance Center for North Carolina residents offers information and resources that we hope will help you during this time.

Hope4NC
The NCDHHS has awarded $1.5 million to support the Hope4NC program, which connects North Carolinians to mental health support that help them cope and build resilience during times of crisis. Funds a HelpLine and enables Crisis Counseling tailored to COVID-19 in all 100 counties of the state.

Vaya Health is a public Managed Care Organization (MCO that oversees Medicaid, federal, state and local funding for mental health, substance abuse disorder, and intellectual/developmental disability services active in 22 counties. Vaya's Access Care Line is available 24/7 to assist anyone in our 22 county area experiencing crisis. Eligible individuals may also receive provider referrals and other information or resources.

Provides information and referrals, resiliency workshops, advocacy and support to military members, veterans and their families.
Our targeted psychological first aid training programs, conducted by mental health professionals, can help you cope with added stress, foster resiliency and encourage peer support. These no-cost courses are approximately two hours in length and are offered online.
