Provided immediate assistance, clean up kits, and support to local families affected by Tropical Storm Isaias last August.
Expanded our mission to provide weekly volunteer support to Second Harvest Food Bank to help meet the increased need for food caused by the pandemic.
Developed and implemented virtual presentation methods for our Pillowcase Project, which provides disaster preparedness and family fire safety training to 3rd to 5th grade age children.
Provided training and support for over 50 local Chapter volunteers who deployed in person or virtually in response to multiple hurricanes and wildfires across the country.
The Red Cross provided over 1.3 million shelter stays in 2020 and many local volunteers supported this effort.
