Home fires claim seven lives every day, but you can help change that. Join the American Red Cross during a local Sound the Alarm event. No prior experience is necessary; we’ll provide all the training you’ll need.
Join us as we partner with the Fort Worth Fire Department, Salvation Army, Tarrant County Food Bank and sponsor Invitation Homes to serve the North Side community of Fort Worth. We will be installing free smoke alarms in homes in need on October 5th.
We will "get the word out" by distributing flyers door to door in neighborhoods on the North Side on Saturday, September 28, from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. Residents can choose to schedule an appointment with the Red Cross. On October 5, from 12 p.m. to 7 p.m., we will return to homes that have requested assistance to install alarms.
Register for both events or choose the date that works for you! On October 5, the Red Cross will provide a meal to all volunteers. Wear comfortable clothing and come ready to serve Fort Worth, as together, we make homes safer!
