Targeting adult learners (16+) the American Red Cross Advanced Child Care Training course teaches the knowledge and skills necessary to responsibly care for children and infants in and outside of the home. Learn leadership, child behavior and discipline, professionalism, safety, basic childcare (bottle feeding, holding, etc.), as well as training toward certification in Pediatric First Aid/CPR/AED. This blended learning course combines online learning with comprehensive instructor-led training. The onlinelearning session must be successfully completed before participants can attend the in-person session. After successful completion of the online and classroom sessions, learners will receive the following certifications, each valid for 2 years: - Advanced Child Care Training - Pediatric First Aid/CPR/AED Note: This program is not intended as certification for state licensed child-care providers and does not meet all state requirements for such certification. This format is ideal for participants looking to maximize learning and productivity at the same time, its self-paced and the training can be completed at your own speed. The online and classroom training option provides greater convenience and the content is equivalent to a traditional course with less time spent in a classroom. 

Online content is accessed via the Red Cross Learning Center.

Certifications + CEUs

Certification

Red Cross courses offer Digital Certification, an online version of a Red Cross certificate, which provides anytime, anywhere access to student training history and course certificates. Digital certificates can be viewed, printed or shared online and can be accessed anytime through your Red Cross Account. Each certificate includes a unique ID and a QR code which meets employment requirements and allows employers to easily confirm your certificate is valid. There is no need to carry your printed certificate around anymore!
