Certification

Red Cross courses offer Digital Certification, an online version of a Red Cross certificate, which provides anytime, anywhere access to student training history and course certificates. Digital certificates can be viewed, printed or shared online and can be accessed anytime through your Red Cross Account. Each certificate includes a unique ID and a QR code which meets employment requirements and allows employers to easily confirm your certificate is valid. There is no need to carry your printed certificate around anymore!

Prerequisites
To participate in the Emergency Medical Response Instructor Bridge, candidates must hold a current provider level (basic-level) certification and one of the equivalent instructor certifications from the table below. Once registered for this bridge course and logged into the Red Cross Learning Center, you will be required to upload a copy of your instructor-level credential from the table below. Your credentials will be reviewed by a Red Cross representative. If you qualify for the Emergency Medical Response Instructor Bridge, a Red Cross representative will provide confirmation of approval (via email). Once approved, you can return to the Learning Center and launch the online course.

American Red Cross      Individuals who hold current license/certification as an athletic trainer, state first responder, EMT, Paramedic, Midwife, RN, MD, or DO PLUS have instructor certification as one of the following:
•      First Aid/CPR/AED Instructor
•      Lifeguarding Instructor 
•      Basic Life Support Instructor 
•      CPR/AED for Professional Rescuers Instructors
