Every day, the American Red Cross Bay Area Chapter provides relief to people affected by local disasters, and it is just a matter of time until our community will be tested by the adversity of an earthquake or other major disaster. Only by working together can we ensure we’re able to help our neighbors and strengthen our community to face the challenge of a major disaster.
In the Bay Area, we are fortunate to have the generous support of many local companies, and one of our most tremendous supporters is Wells Fargo. This past fall, Wells Fargo sponsored and assembled 2,330 comfort kits in their offices across the country. At Wells Fargo headquarters in downtown San Francisco, employees gathered with Red Cross volunteers to assemble 350 comfort kits for use in the Bay Area. At the end of March, 500 Wells Fargo employees will participate in a web-based Be Red Cross Ready personal preparedness training. This first-of-its-kind training will be conducted by the Bay Area Chapter for Wells Fargo employees in 28 states from Oregon to Virginia. We are looking forward to a successful training and are extremely grateful for the enthusiasm and volunteer spirit of Wells Fargo employees.
