Volunteers are the heart of the Red Cross, and the Red Cross Colorado chapters strive to support our volunteers with helpful resources and information. Below are various Web sites and links to resources for Red Cross Volunteers.
Your No. 1 resource as a Red Cross volunteer is the Volunteer Connection. This is your one-click link to:
• Browse and apply for current volunteer opportunities
• Sign up for shifts and trainings
• Keep in touch with fellow volunteers
• Learn what’s going on at your local chapter and in the region
• And much more!
To access your volunteer profile, log on to Volunteer Connection. If you have not yet set up an account, you can do so by filling out the Volunteer Application (new volunteers) or contacting Volunteer Services to activate your account (existing Mile High Region Red Cross volunteers).
Depending upon your volunteer assignment, you may need to access one or more of the following databases.

The American Red Cross has been approved as an Authorized Provider by the International Association for Continuing Education and Training (IACET). IACET's Criteria for Quality Continuing Education and Training Programs are the standards by which hundreds of organizations measure their educational offerings. As an IACET Authorized Provider, the American Red Cross offers CEUs for its programs that qualify under IACET guidelines.
For a list of the approved Red Cross courses which qualify for CEUs and the number of CEUs awarded for each course, click here - CEU Approved Courses.
To obtain CEUs:
1. Visit www.RedCrossstore.org
2. Provide the following information: Course Name; Course Date; Location of course including address, city and zip code; American Red Cross Chapter Name; and Instructor Name
3. Select the CEU for the course and pay the fee
4. Upon verification of course completion, the CEU certification will be emailed to you within four weeks; hard copy on request
CEUs are offered as an add-on to training courses completed through the American Red Cross. Visit www.iacet.org to review a list of companies, regulatory boards and organizations that have reported to accept the IACET CEU. Individuals are strongly encouraged to check with their specific regulatory boards, employers or other agencies to confirm that courses taken from IACET Authorized Providers and courses taken for IACET CEUs will be accepted by that entity.
