We believe youth have the potential to make a huge impact. In our eyes, they are a vital resource bringing energy, innovation and inspiration to the American Red Cross and our mission to help people prevent, prepare for and respond to disasters. If you truly commit to participating, you can expect to:

  • Participate in fun, meaningful community service projects picked by you!
  • Build your leadership capacity.
  • Build your appreciation of diversity.
  • Potentially SAVE LIVES!
  • Gain valuable experience that will propel you into the professional and non-profit world, improve your resume, and show you what it takes to work well with all sorts of people.
The fun, friendship, learning and life-changing experiences won’t start until you do. Check out these ways to get involved now:

Red Cross Club

Working closely with the local chapters of the American Red Cross in Florida's Central Region and a school advisor, club members participate in Red Cross service projects that impact their community and the world. They offer student members many new opportunities for self-development and the ability to choose activities that will address the community’s greatest needs. Check out what youth volunteers are achieving at We are so proud to have Red Cross Clubs at the following schools:

High Schools – Click your school below to start the one-time, online application.

Colleges - Click Here to start the adult application for your area.

  • State College of Florida
  • University of Central Florida
  • University of South Florida
Don’t see your school listed? We will be accepting new club applications in the spring! Please contact your local chapter to receive a student guide and we will work with you through the process. Please note it is very important for interested students or faculty to reach out to your Chapter FIRST, before launching a club!

Other Youth Opportunities

Currently there are no opportunities for youth outside the clubs listed above unless those 14 years old or over, volunteer side by side with their parent or legal guardian. Please contact your local chapter to learn more
