Helping Floridians prepare for and respond to emergencies is vital to the core mission of the American Red Cross. Each year, the Capital Area Chapter trains countless residents to prepare for emergencies, prevent injuries and respond calmly and effectively when emergencies strike.

Lifesaving Skills Classes
The Capital Area Chapter offers training classes for individuals, groups and corporations, enabling them to respond to disasters and life-threatening emergencies with practical skills and confidence. The classes include: CPR/AED (Adult, Child, Infant), First Aid, Babysitting and more.

Emergency Preparedness
Emergencies can strike quickly, without warning, and at any time. Year after year, the Capital Area Chapter provides more than 20,000 North Floridians with emergency preparedness information and training through community outreach programs and special presentations.
