Randy Harris

Randy Harris is the Chair of the American Red Cross of Hawaii Board of Directors, serving his first term in FY18 in this role. He has served on the Hawaii Red Cross board since 2002 and has served on the Nominating Committee and Executive Committee as well as the Financial Development, Humanitarian, Planned Giving, Governance, Endowment, Stewardship, and Individual Major Donor Relations Committees. He is a past Vice Chair.

Randy Harris formerly was Vice Chairman of Merrill Lynch International with responsibility for the development of Merrill Lynch’s China business. Previously, he was President of Merrill Lynch Japan. He was General Counsel of A.G. Becker and Chief Operating Officer prior to its acquisition by Merrill Lynch in 1984.

Mr. Harris is a member of the Bar of the State of Hawaii, Illinois, District of Columbia and the U.S. Supreme Court. He is involved in a variety of community activities, including serving as a trustee of a private foundation engaged in education and scientific study related to wildlife conservation. He also is on the board of a company which advises the Federated States of Micronesia on the development of corporate registry and captive insurance for Japanese corporations. Mr. Harris served on the Diamond Head Apartment's board and as president since 2016.

Born in Oklahoma, he received a Bachelor of Arts degree from Grinnell College in 1967 and a Doctor of Law degree from George Washington University in 1970. Mr. Harris and his wife, Joey reside in Honolulu.

Coralie Chun Matayoshi

Coralie Chun Matayoshi has served as the CEO of the American Red Cross of Hawaii since 2003. In 2013, she was named CEO of the Pacific Islands Region, which includes Hawaii, Guam and Saipan. She also serves as a part-time District Court Judge for the State of Hawaii.

Coralie is an attorney who previously served as Executive Director of the Hawaii State Bar Association for 13 years. She is a graduate of Punahou School, earned a political science degree from the University of California, Berkeley, and she received her juris doctor degree from Hastings College of the Law.

Matayoshi has served as a Trial Attorney for the United States Department of Justice Antitrust Division and Special Assistant United States Attorney in Washington D.C., worked for several years in private practice, served as Chief Policy Analyst for the State Senate Committee on Business Development & Pacific Relations, and as Executive Director of the Hawaii Institute for Continuing Legal Education.

In 2010, she was named by the Pacific Business News as Businesswoman of the Year (nonprofit) and has won numerous awards from the U.S. Department of Justice, Hawaii State Bar Association, and Hawaii Visitors Bureau (Kuhina Award).

Matayoshi recently completed a 5-year term on the University of Hawaii Board of Regents, and currently serves on the Hawaii Visitors & Convention Bureau Board of Directors and Diamond Head Theater Community Advisory Board. She has also served on numerous community boards and committees, including Hastings College of the Law Alumni Board of Governors, Aloha United Way Nominating Committee and Non-profit Campaign Chair, FOX TV-2 Action Line Advisory Board, American Bar Association Committee on Justice Initiatives, Hawaii Commission on Access to Justice, and Neighborhood Justice Center Board. She was also a long-time editorial board and columnist for the Hawaii Bar Journal, and is the author of a chapter on "Women & Jobs" in a book entitled Price of Paradise.

Matayoshi is a former Narcissus Queen and mother of three.
