As part of our Home Fire Preparedness Campaign, Red Cross-led teams are canvassing neighborhoods around the state, helping families develop escape plans, check their smoke alarms, and install new alarms where needed. Much of the work of the Red Cross is done by our team of trained volunteers, and we’re always looking for good people to help.
People interested in becoming disaster volunteers for the American Red Cross can attend a free training that will take them from zero Red Cross experience to trained disaster services volunteer in just two days.
