Our Vision for the Next CenturyThe Future Of The Next 100 Years
The mission of the American Red Cross is to prevent and alleviate human suffering in the face of emergencies by mobilizing the power of volunteers and the generosity of donors. Since it’s founding, the Red Cross has been connected to people and communities across the nation and around the world through our extensive network of chapters and volunteers.
The methods that the Red Cross has used to deliver on this mission have adapted over time to fit changing times and technology, but the compassion of our volunteers and donors has stayed constant. Volunteers are embedded in the fabric of every activity at the local level and will remain a key component to our service delivery.
Over the past 100 years, the Red Cross in Nebraska has provided: comfort and support to thousands of individuals and families in need of assistance after a disaster, lifesaving blood and blood products to patients in need, skills to save lives through first aid and CPR, military and veteran support, and international relief. Looking to the future, we want to expand upon this compassion and create more resilient communities throughout the state of Nebraska.
