Mary Lynn Foster serves as the Chief Executive Officer for the Ohio Buckeye Region of the American Red Cross. Mary Lynn possesses more than twenty-five years of management and leadership experience in both the non-profit and for-profit sectors and has led the efforts of the Red Cross in communities across the state of Ohio since late December 2016.
Mary Lynn is a graduate of Western Michigan University where she earned a degree in accounting. Her career began in the for-profit sector as a CPA, working in a variety of financial positions at PricewaterhouseCoopers, Safelite Auto Glass Corporation, Scotts Miracle- Gro Company and Charles Penzone Inc., where she ultimately served as the Chief Operating Officer and Vice President.
Foster joined the Red Cross from her most recent position as the President and Chief Executive Officer of Children’s Hunger Alliance, where she served since 2013. In this role, she oversaw a team dispersed across Ohio and was responsible for ensuring mission delivery across a diverse group of communities. She has an impressive breadth of business acumen and vast experience in developing teams and aligning them around a strategic vision.
Outside of the workplace, she enjoys time with her husband and family while serving our most vulnerable residents. Mary Lynn is passionate about the community and has been involved with several other non-profits, including serving on the Finance Committee for the United Way of Central Ohio and is currently President of the Ohio Chapter of the International Women’s Forum.
