Fire Hurts. Red Cross Helps.

FIRE HURTS. RED CROSS HELPS.

The Need:

Fire remains the greatest disaster threat to individuals and families across our country. Nearly twice a day, the American Red Cross Cascades Region, which serves communities across Oregon and Southwest Washington, assists families who have been affected by home fires.

Our Response:

24 hours a day, 7 days a week, Red Cross staff and volunteers are on call to help families affected by fires. Financial assistance from the Red Cross makes it possible for families to have emergency food, clothing and shelter, as well as much-needed comfort and support during their most critical time of need. There is no other organization that delivers the same services, at the exact time and place they are needed most. Last year, the American Red Cross Cascades Region assisted nearly 900 families affected by local disasters, including house fires, and provided hundreds of thousands of dollars in direct, immediate financial assistance.

You Can Help:

DONATE TODAY and help a local family when they need it most.

With your gift of $1,000 or more, you will receive an incident report from a Red Cross Disaster Action Team, detailing how your donation supported a local response effort. For a limited time, as a “thank you,” you will also receive an American Red Cross fleece blanket to warm your holiday season.

Your Donation is a Gift to Your Community

The fire relief services provided by your local American Red Cross are funded exclusively through local contributions. No government subsidies. No federal funding. This means your donations aren’t just important—they’re everything.
