Preparing for Disaster

The American Red Cross of Southeastern Pennsylvania responds to more than 900 emergencies a year. Are you ready for a disaster? Are you Red Cross ready? The American Red Cross and its partners in preparedness have the information you need to keep you and your family safe.

In addition to the Plan and Prepare information available through the American Red Cross, there are additional resources available to make sure you have as much information as you need to take care of yourself and your family in the event of an emergency.

Youth Preparedness

As members of after-school Red Cross Clubs, high school and collegiate-level students learn about personal health and safety, and proudly serve their schools and community. Our Red Cross Club curriculum provides HIV/AIDS/STI prevention, disaster preparedness, safety training, non-verbal conflict resolution, global education and service learning. Additionally, programs are available for youth in grades K-12 focusing on hygiene, basic first aid, home alone safety and fire and water safety.
