Join us in our Centennial Celebration!

The American Red Cross has a rich 100-year history of helping communities prepare for, respond to and recover from disasters in the 24-county Gold Country Region. Although some individual chapters throughout the region existed before 1917, new chapters and existing Red Cross members around what is now the Gold Country region united in a single mission in this pivotal year: supporting World War I soldiers overseas and at home. It was in 1917 that robust action and strong leadership from Red Cross National Headquarters drew members together and the Red Cross as we know it today was born in our area.

In 2017, we are honoring our past, celebrating the present, and building a strong future so that we can continue to serve and expand our outreach in the Gold Country Region. Join us in our Centennial Celebration!
