Matthew Consigli was elected as Chairman of the Board of Directors of the American Red Cross of Central Massachusetts in May 2013. He has been involved in the organization since 2006.
Matthew is Vice President of Consigli Construction Co., Inc. He is responsible for the company’s day-to-day business operations and helps guide its strategic planning. Along with his brother, Matthew represents the fourth generation of his family to lead the firm, which was founded in 1905. Under their guidance, the company has grown from a small, local contractor to one of the largest construction management firms in the Northeast, while consistently being honored with “Best Places to Work” awards. Consigli provides services for corporate, academic, institutional, healthcare, and life sciences clients. Kevin Grimes was elected to the Board of Directors for the Red Cross of Central Massachusetts in 2011. He has served on the region’s Golf Committee since 2010 and co-chaired the Committee in 2012 and 2013. Kevin also currently chairs the Board Governance Committee for the chapter and serves as an alternate chapter representative on the Massachusetts Regional Board.
Kevin is Managing Partner and Chief Investment Officer of Grimes & Company, a leading investment firm with a national footprint. His role includes heading the Investment Team, designing and implementing investment strategies, overseeing asset allocations, and serving clients of the firm as well as firm wide management responsibilities. Prior to joining Grimes & Company in 1998, Kevin was an equity and options trader at a large broker-dealer in Boston. He graduated Magna cum Laude from Babson College with an interdisciplinary degree in Corporate Finance/Entrepreneurial Sciences and a concentration in Economics. Keith E. Blanchette is a Partner in the firm, Stolberg, Ebbeling & Blanchette, LLP. He received his Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration with concentrations in Accounting and Finance and a minor in Communications from Worcester State University in May, 1998. Keith previously worked at two regional public accounting firms before joining the Firm in October, 2004. He became a Partner in October, 2005.
Keith has more than 15 years of public accounting experience working with privately-held companies. His areas of expertise are in all levels of accounting and auditing services, strategic planning, mergers and acquisitions and business valuations in connection with business succession, estate and gift tax matters and marital dissolutions. He has negotiated and structured complex recapitalizations and corporate acquisitions for his middle market clients. Mr. Blanchette also is instrumental in orchestrating family business transfers.
Keith serves as the Chair of the Audit Committee of the Worcester State University Foundation Board. He also currently serves as an Overseer at Old Sturbridge Village and as a Member of the Board of Directors of the American Red Cross.
Keith is a certified public accountant, a certified valuation analyst, and is certified in financial forensics. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the Massachusetts Society of Certified Public Accountants and the National Association of Certified Valuation Analysts.
Julie F. Crowley has served as a Board member of the Worcester Red Cross since 2006. Julie is a native of Worcester, and is an artist and photographer. She is a current artist member of the Princeton Art Society, The Cape Cod Art Association and the Provincetown Art Association. Julie shows and sells her art on Cape Cod, and has been painting all her life.
Julie studied Art and Architecture in college and worked in the architecture field as a Draftsman in Boston and then as a Draftsman and Designer in Worcester for over 15 years. Julie is currently pursuing her passion for Painting and Photography.
Julie has served on the Board and Chaired the Worcester MSPCA for 10 years. Julie Crowley served on the Members Council at the Worcester Art Museum. She also served as an Incorporator at the Higgins Armory in Worcester. Julie substitute taught at the Bancroft School for many years and served as Liason and Ski Coach for the NEPSACs, the Bancroft School and Worcester Academy High School Central Mass Ski League.
She enjoys skiing, surfing, golfing, hiking, gardening and visiting her four grown children any time she can. Julie lives with her husband and children in Princeton, Ma.

Peter has been a Board Member of the American Red Cross of Central Massachusetts since 2006. Other roles held by Peter are - Board Chair July 1, 2010-June 2013 and Past Chair Development Committee, member of Executive and Board Governance Committees. Named Ambassador Award winner 2013.
At Commerce Peter oversaw a doubling of the Massachusetts market share during his tenure as the SVP Marketing. His 30 plus years in the insurance industry included stints at the former Commercial Union in Boston as well as over 20 years at Commerce. He is a graduate of Northeastern University.
Peter's association with the American Red Cross began with blood donations as a college student.

Jack Doolin was elected to the Board of the American Red Cross of Central/Western Massachusetts in May 2013. Since 1998, he has been the Senior Vice President of Human Resources and Training for Workers’ Credit Union, which is headquartered in Fitchburg, MA and has 15 locations. Prior to his current position Jack held various human resource positions with the Massachusetts Credit Union League, the Bank of New England and Emerson College.
He received an undergraduate degree from the University of Connecticut and a Master’s degree from Emerson College in Boston. He also earned a certificate of advanced studies in the inaugural Boston College graduate program Leadership for the Common Good (now known as Leadership for Change). His volunteer work includes being a Director of the New England Chapter of the Credit Union Executives Society and Chairman of the Scholarship Committee of the North Central Massachusetts Chamber of Commerce. He had previously served as a Director of the Massachusetts Credit Union League and has been involved in local youth sports.

Board-certified Facial Plastic Surgeon Frank P. Fechner, M.D. is committed to bringing excellence in facial plastic surgery to Massachusetts, Boston and the greater Worcester area in particular.
Dr. Fechner was born and raised in Berlin, Germany. During his studies at the University of Freiburg Medical School, he received a prestigious one-year scholarship from the University of Massachusetts Medical School in Worcester to continue his studies. After medical school, Dr. Fechner completed his surgical internship at Massachusetts General Hospital (MGH) in Boston and a four-year Harvard residency training at the Massachusetts Eye & Ear Infirmary in Boston, where he focused exclusively on surgery of the face, head and neck region. Through his affiliations with Harvard Medical School and UMass Medical School, he continues to be involved in teaching activities of medical students, residents and fellows.
Dr. Fechner is committed to providing state-of-the-art plastic and reconstructive surgery and related services to disadvantaged children and adults, both abroad and here in Massachusetts.
For such humanitarian causes, Dr. Fechner and a group Harvard Head & Neck Surgeons visited St. Petersburg, Russia to provide surgical patient care. He also went to Ecuador to provide free medical and plastic surgery services to local children and young adults. Under the umbrella of MMFC, a non-profit organization, the medical team provided reconstructive plastic surgery for congenital deformities of the face. The mission focused on plastic surgical repair of cleft lip and palate defects and other deformities.
Since 2007 Dr. Fechner has been leading a team of facial plastic and reconstructive surgeons to Hanoi, Vietnam for yearly mission trips. Under the Face to Face program of the AAFPRS Foundation, he provided plastic surgery services to both pediatric and adult patients. A goal of this ongoing mission is to establish a close working relationship with local physicians in the quest for advanced training and education in facial and neck surgery.

Diane Giampa was elected to the Board of the American Red Cross of Central Massachusetts in May of 2013.
She graduated from College of the Holy Cross with a BA in English and obtained her MBA from Anna Maria College. She holds a SPHR (Senior Professional in Human Resources) designation from the national Society of Human Resources Management. She has been with Bay State Savings Bank since 1997.
In addition to her Red Cross Board membership, Diane is Chair of the Board of Girls Inc. of Worcester, Vice Chair of the Board for the Nazareth Home for Boys in Leicester, a member of the Board of Destination Worcester, an Advisory Board member for Books for Babies and a Corporator of the Worcester Historical Museum and Habitat for Humanity of Central Mass. She is also a very active volunteer with /supporter of Taste of the Nation, Hope Lodge, Be Like Brit and PINK Revolution.

Kim Goodnow is both co-owner and Chief Culture Officer at Woodmeister Master Builders. Kim has been a driving force behind establishing many of the company’s internal policies and procedures. Kim started as the company’s first bookkeeper and office manager. For many years, Kim was Director of Human Resources. She implemented a company wide safety program through the company’s workers compensation provider to comply with OSHA regulations. She was also instrumental in securing a workforce training grant from the Massachusetts Department of Employment and Training (DET).
Her efforts (along with co-owner Ted Goodnow) to provide employees with a rewarding workplace, have been recognized by The Wall Street Journal’s Winning Workplace and the Boston Globe’s Top 100 Places to Work honors. These awards are bestowed onto companies whose workers are surveyed and interviewed about their training opportunities, career growth, and job satisfaction – all of which are influenced by Kim’s desire to help employees.
As a long time board member with the Red Cross of Central MA, Kim shares her passion for service and volunteerism by introducing a pilot program at Woodmeister called Ready When the Time Comes. This pilot program allows trained employees to respond along with the Red Cross to local disasters (fire, flood, severe storm damage) that occur during business hours.
Kim also is active in the World Presidents Organization, Patriot Chapter New England, an organization that helps people and businesses to maximize their leadership journey through personal growth and development programs and opportunities.
Kathy Lyford was elected to the Board of the American Red Cross of Eastern Massachusetts in May 2012. She adds many years of volunteering activities in local communities to the Board.
Kathy Lyford graduated from the University of Rhode Island with a BS in Electrical Engineering and an Executive MBA, as well as, earning a Professional Engineering license. After graduation from her under graduate studies she joined the New England Electric System (NEES), a legacy National Grid Company, as an Engineer. Her career experiences have been diverse with leadership roles in a variety of areas in the organization. After raising her 3 children with her husband Glen she relocated to Syracuse, NY in 2007 to take on a role in electric operations. She returned in 2011 joining the US Executive team.
Kathy has been on the Board of Times2 (To Improve Math Engineering and the Sciences), a nonprofit focused on improving education for the underrepresented populations in math engineering and the sciences. She was also a Board member of Junior Achievement while living in Syracuse, NY. Kathy has also spent numerous years volunteering for Rebuilding Together, a national nonprofit organization working to preserve affordable homeownership and revitalizing neighborhoods by providing free home repairs and modifications to low-income homeowners.

Vickie Manning was elected to the Board of the American Red Cross of Central Massachusetts in May of 2014.
She attended Worcester State College where she majored in Psychology with a concentration in Industrial Relations, and is a certified mediator. She has been with Bowditch & Dewey since 2000, and has over 30 years of human resources and administrative experience in both private and public sector law.
In addition to her Red Cross Board membership, she is actively involved in the community in activities related to education, training and jobs, and served on the Board of Salter College. She is a member of the Association of Legal Administrators and is on the AIM Health Care Cost and Policy Committee.
She lives in Oxford with her husband John.
In 1999 Shrewsbury resident, Robert H. McLaren, was first elected to the board of the Central Massachusetts chapter of the American Red Cross and is now serving his second term on the board. For the past five years he has volunteered his time as a management consultant for the chapter. In 2011 and 2012, he also worked as a consultant for NuGen Capital Management, a RI-based large-scale solar power project development and investment company.
Mr. McLaren previously worked for National Grid for 34 years, before retiring in December 2007 as its President of Massachusetts and New Hampshire Electric Distribution. Over the course of his long career with National Grid, he held positions of responsibility for the following functions: corporate finance, risk management, supply chain management, budgeting, legislative and regulatory affairs, business customer service, power supply planning and internal audit.
He currently serves on the boards of three non-profit organizations: the Ecotarium, Central Massachusetts Housing Alliance and Central One Federal Credit Union and he is a corporator of the Greater Worcester Community Foundation.
Mr. McLaren holds a Bachelor of Science degree with honors in Civil Engineering from the University of New Hampshire and an MBA from Clark University. He also completed the Financial Management Program at Stanford University.
Regional Vice President – Nationwide / Harleysville Insurance
Dennis Otmaskin is the regional vice president of the company’s Northeast operation located in Worcester, Mass. In this position, he oversees Harleysville’s operations in Connecticut, Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New York, Rhode Island and Vermont.
Dennis joined Harleysville in January 1998 as president and chief operating officer of Minnesota Fire and Casualty. He was named to his current role in 2000. He also served as regional president of Harleysville’s Mid-Atlantic operation for two and a half years. Before coming to Harleysville, he was senior vice president – field operations at Secura, a Midwest regional carrier. In total, he has 42 years of experience in the property and casualty insurance industry with both national and regional insurers.
A graduate of the University of Illinois, Champaign-Urbana, Dennis has earned the designations of Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU) and Associate in Insurance Services (AIS).
He and his wife, Marlies, reside in Hopkinton, MA. They have three children.

Tony Pini has served on the Board of the American Red Cross of Central Massachusetts for a number of years. He is a past Board Chair of the Chapter. He currently serves on the Board of the American Red Cross Blood Services for the Massachusetts Region. Tony is also a volunteer at the Worcester Red Cross office where he provides project management and other assistance where needed.
Tony graduated from Boston College, has an MBA from Babson College, and is a CPA. He started his career at Arthur Young and Company which is now known as Ernst and Young. He spent 30 years at National Grid retiring as a Senior Vice President.
In addition to the Red Cross, he currently spends his time volunteering with several organizations, consulting part time with Benefit Development Group in Worcester and enjoying his family and first grandchild. He is an avid cyclist having done the PMC numerous times and has been known to cycle in Europe as well.

Allan is a graduate of the College of William and Mary in Virginia where he holds A BS in Chemistry. He also earned a CPCU industry designation in 1995
He resides in Sutton, Ma with his wife Elaine, and has 2 daughters, Stacey and Kathryn , one a licensed pharmacist and the other a Health care professional .

James Rouse was elected to the Board of the American Red Cross of Central Massachusetts in May of 2012.
Jim is the former President and Chief Executive Officer of Arrhythmia Research Technology, Inc. (NYSE AMEX:HRT) as well as President, Chief Executive Officer and Chief Operating Officer of the Company’s subsidiary, Micron Products, Inc. He is a graduate of the University of Massachusetts (Amherst) with a B.A. in Political Science and Worcester Polytechnic Institute, School of Industrial Management.
Jim has served on numerous volunteer boards including the North Central Mass Chamber of Commerce and the Mount Wachusett Community College Foundation boards. He has served as a member of the board of directors at Worker’s Credit Union since 2007 and has been its Chairman since 2011.

Jeff is a partner and former chair of the Business Group of Mirick, O’Connell, DeMallie & Lougee, LLP, a 60 lawyer law firm with offices in Worcester, Westborough and Boston. His legal practice focuses on mergers and acquisitions, equity financing, securities regulation, contract drafting and negotiating, business formation, corporate governance and general corporate and business matters.
Jeff graduated with a BA from Duke University and received his JD from Boston University.
Prior to attending law school, Jeff handled major property losses as senior claim representative for Prudential Property & Casualty. In that capacity, Jeff witnessed the great work of American Red Cross volunteers as they assisted and comforted families whose homes had been severely damaged or completely destroyed by fire. As a member of Prudential’s catastrophe team, Jeff spent several weeks in Charleston, South Carolina in the weeks following Hurricane Hugo working alongside the Red Cross and other relief agencies in the aftermath of Hurricane Hugo in 1989.
Jeff lives in Shrewsbury and is the father of two daughters and a son.

David Tangredi, an Economics degree graduate of St. Anselm College in Manchester, NH, spent 34 years working for the IBM Corporation. Dave held a variety of technical and managerial positions in Field Engineering, Finance, Sales, Marketing, Consulting, and IT Executive Project Management. In 1989, he was appointed as the Boston Branch Manager of Field Engineering and Technical Consulting Services. Dave has led major, multi-million dollar IT projects in the United States, China, Japan, Australia, and several European countries. Post retirement, Dave now does independent consulting as time allows. He has worked closely with IBM to win over a half dozen cash grants for the Red Cross.
Dave is a Massachusetts-certified EMT and an FCC radio license holder since 1978. In October of 1998, Dave joined the American Red Cross of Central Massachusetts as a Disaster Action Team volunteer responding to a variety of small and large disasters locally and regionally. In 2000, he accepted the request to become the Communications Lead for the Central Mass Chapter. This role involved the design and maintenance of the communications systems supporting the Red Cross responses, including cell phones, pagers, two-way radios, radio repeaters, and antenna systems at both remote and local sites. Dave designed and setup the first UHF repeater system in the region as well as a cross-band radio system in partnership with Massport.
With the 2010 changes to the Red Cross structure, Dave has migrated to the position of Disaster Support Technology (DST) Lead. In that role Dave implemented a Web-based, automated volunteer call-down application at no cost to the chapter. This application automatically notifies volunteers and collects their status in response to disasters where a rapid deployment is required. Previously, this was done manually, one call at a time. Now, an entire chapter call-down can be done in less than 1 minute.
Dave resides in Milford, Massachusetts with his wife Paula. They have two adult children living in Chicago and Boston.

CHARLES S. (CHICK) WEISS, PH.D. was born in Mauch Chunk, PA (now Jim Thorpe, PA). He received the B.S. degree (1970) from the University of Scranton and the Ph.D. (1974) in physiological psychology and neurobiology from Ohio University. He was an Alfred P. Sloan Foundation Post-Doctoral Fellow in Neuroscience at Colgate University and a Research Fellow at the Brain Research Laboratory at Syracuse University (1974-75).
Chick joined the faculty of the Department of Psychology at the College of the Holy Cross in 1975, chaired the Department from 1984 to 1989, and holds the rank of Associate Professor. Chick served as the Holy Cross Coordinator of Grants and Research (1989-95), the Director of the Office of Grants and Corporate and Foundation Giving (1995-2013) and is now the Director of the Office of Strategic Initiatives and Corporate and Foundation Relations.
Chick is founding Trustee, past Chair of the Board of Trustees and Co-chair of the first Capital Campaign of the Nativity School of Worcester, an all-scholarship middle school for economically disadvantaged boys (see: www.nativityworcester.org). He served as Chair of the Board of Directors of the Central Massachusetts Chapter of the American Red Cross, was a member of its Capital Campaign and Strategic Planning Steering Committees and is a six-gallon blood donor. He is a founding Trustee of the Beverly School, a school for disadvantaged youngsters that opened outside of Nairobi, Kenya in 2011. Chick is past Chair of the Board of Directors of Children’s Friend in Worcester and was Co-chair of its 150th Anniversary Capital Campaign. He is a corporator of the Ecotarium and a member of the Board of Directors of the Greater Worcester Community Foundation and Chair of its Non-Profit Support Center’s Advisory Committee.
