Disaster Action Team (DAT) Member:
DAT members respond to disasters on the local level, including house fires, wildfires, floods, and major weather events. As a DAT member, you will help allocate Red Cross resources to meet the immediate needs of those affected by disasters.
Do you enjoy going on camera and giving interviews? As a Montana Red Cross media volunteer, you are the spokesperson for the Red Cross in your community. We will train you to work with your local media, to talk about the services we deliver, and to help us attract volunteers and donations. If you want to be the public face of the Red Cross in your community and help us help others, this is the volunteer position for you!
Health and Safety Instructor:
As a Health & Safety Instructor, you will teach CPR, First Aid, and AED (Automated External Defibrillator) skills to your community. With advanced training, you may also teach classes such as Babysitting, Water Safety, and Pet CPR, among others.
Service to the Armed Forces Caseworker:
The Red Cross needs volunteers to contact military members and their families to ensure their needs were met by our emergency communication services. If additional services are needed, the caseworker will coordinate these additional resources.
The Red Cross programs would not function without the help of our office volunteers, who assist with data entry, mailings, answering calls, and much more.
