Georgia Disaster Instititute

Georgia’s Red Cross works year-round to recruit and train volunteers to respond to a variety of local and national disasters with skill and confidence. As part of this effort, the Atlanta Chapter hosts an annual,10-day Disaster Training Institute in January/February. It offers Red Cross volunteers from Georgia and other states the chance to grow their expertise in the many functions that support our neighbors in need during a disaster relief operation.

Last year, our Disaster Training Institute issued 1,076 certificates to hundreds of participants for more than 52 classes and workshops. Plans are now underway for the 2013 Institute and we want you to be a part of it. You must be a registered Red Cross disaster volunteer to enroll.
