Marty McKellips is a creative leader who has taken an unusual path to becoming an executive. She draws on past professional experiences as a public school teacher, live music advocate and a small business owner—along with her life experience as a 35-year Austinite—to find solutions where others might be afraid to look. She has been with the American Red Cross for more than a decade, first as a volunteer and then as a staff member. She has served in a wide range of roles with the Red Cross, including Disaster Responder, Public Information Officer, member of the Board of Directors, Chief Marketing Officer and now Regional Chief Executive Officer. In her current role, she oversees delivery of the Red Cross mission in 80-counties. She has responded to every type of disaster from single family fires to major events like hurricanes Katrina and Rita. In her free time, Marty enjoys live music, trying new restaurants, gardening, spending time with her husband and exploring the center of the universe.
