Zanny Marsh joins the American Red Cross as Executive Director of the Red Cross of Northern Nevada, bringing more than a decade of experience as a program administrator, fund development professional and volunteer leader in higher education and not-for-profits. She has established programs that promote education, quality of life, health care, community collaboration, and research.
Marsh is a Trustee for KNPB, the northern Nevada public broadcast station. She serves as Chair of Seniors in Service (sponsor of Foster Grandparents and Senior Companions), and is a member of the Board of Directors for Truckee Meadows Tomorrow, a community-based, nonprofit organization that advocates for quality of life collaboration and partnership. Also, she serves as a consultant to the Nevada Alliance for Arts Education.
Ms. Marsh holds a bachelor’s degree in journalism and a master’s in justice management. She was appointed to Faculty Emeritus from the University of Nevada, Reno, and she developed and teaches the graduate course Elders and Aging Populations.
Marsh is former American Red Cross volunteer. Also, she is a recipient of the Clara Barton Award, which recognizes individuals who perform outstanding community service on behalf of the Red Cross.
