Thank you for your interest in partnering with the American Red Cross

When a disaster strikes, the American Red Cross provides shelter, food, and health and mental health services -- helping individuals and families resume their normal daily activities.

Partnering with a well-known brand, such as the American Red Cross, connects your group, company or agency to an organization that people all over the world trust to help save lives, be there in times of disaster and to increase their personal safety and security within their community.

There are several ways to partner with the American Red Cross.

Sponsor an Event

To learn more about sponsorship levels and benefits, please contact Brooke Flake at 702-369-3674.
  • Fire Hurts. Red Cross Helps. On average, every 23 hours the Southern Nevada Red Cross responds to a local disaster - the most common being a home fire. This year, the Southern Nevada Chapter needs to raise $300,000 to offer disaster assistance to local families. Sponsoring companies are invited to present their pledges at our Fire Hurts Campaign Launch event in January. Find more about Fire Hurts. Red Cross Helps.
  • Everyday Heroes Breakfast Each October, the American Red Cross recognizes ordinary citizens of our community for extraordinary things they have done in the past year. The event showcases “Everyday Heroes” in 11 categories, including Military, Animal Rescue, and Youth Good Samaritan.

"Power of Two" - Public Relations

The Power of Two program is a partnership between the Public Relations Society of America and the American Red Cross. It provides a way for public relations experts to become involved in the Red Cross mission to provide relief to victims of disasters and help people prevent, prepare for and respond to emergencies. PRSA members are serving their communities as media spokespersons, communication strategists, writers and more.

The American Red Cross is over 97% volunteer staffed. Become a Red Cross disaster responder today. Somewhere a child is crying. Somewhere a family's dream burns to the ground. Somewhere a father is loosing pride. closer than you might think. Over 250 times a yearly - nearly five times a week - volunteer disaster responders show up to the scene of a house fire and help families start rebuilding their lives. Flexible schedules are available. Training is provided.

Donate Clothing Packs

Many fire victims leave their homes with nothing but the clothes on their backs. The American Red Cross provides clients in need of emergency clothing with a change of new clothes. Community partners can purchase these materials and assemble the clothing packs we distribute to fire victims in our community.

A clothing pack consists of the following:

  • Sweatshirt and sweat pant (for winter use) or T-Shirt and short with elastic waistband (for summer use)
  • New - No used items accepted
  • Plain - No logos, writing, or printing
  • Any size - adult S - 4XL (top and bottom needs to be same size)
A donor acknowledgement card can be inserted into the clothing pack if desired. Call Brooke at 702-369-3674 to begin this meaningful project.

Donate Comfort Kits

When a family in Southern Nevada loses everything in a fire, the American Red Cross is there to meet their most basic needs. Volunteers distribute “comfort kits” containing hygiene items like a toothbrush, razor and washcloth to clients. You can help your neighbors in need by collecting or purchasing hygiene items and assembling kits for fire victims. Call Brooke at 702-369-3674 for more information about this project.
