On average, every 20 hours the Southern Nevada Red Cross responds to a local disaster - the most common being a home fire.
Imagine suddenly being without your possessions, precious family photographs or even something as simple as the clothes in your closet. Important questions begin to arise. Where will you sleep? Will you be able to feed your children or get the things they need to return to school? How will you replace your prescription medication?
Even at 3:00am, Red Cross volunteers are ready to go wherever there is need, to provide a shoulder to lean on, and the means by which families can begin their road to recovery..
This year, the Southern Nevada Chapter needs to raise $350,000 to offer disaster assistance to local families.
